Valentine’s Day Quilt

Mrs. Burkart’s class made a Valentine’s Day quilt…with a little help from their friends!

The 100th Day of School

On Thursday February 8, 2001 the first grade classes celebrated the 100th Day of School. Each student created a project made out of 100 objects. The students were very creative. Some of the items they used were cotton balls, Legos, coins, chocolate chips, Cheerios, marshmallows, and paper clips. The classes had a parade to share their projects with all of the other students in the school. It was a great day!!

1. A game-boy

1. To be invisible because then I could go anywhere I want.
2. To get a pet because I really want a pet.
3. To go in a rocket that could swim with a penguin because I like penguins!

1. A collie because there was a dog named Lassie.
2. A princess dress that is pink.
3. A unicorn because they are pretty.

1. To be a ghost so I could scare people.
2. To go skiing all the time because it is fun.
3. Ride a motorcycle because it is fast!

1. To be a famous baseball player because I like baseball.
2. To be a snowflake because I would like falling from the sky.
3. To be a cheetah because I am very fast.

1. I want to be rich.
2. I want to go to Aruba because my mom told me all about it!
3. I want all of the games in the world because I like to play games.

2. I want the world to be cleaner so the animals have a better place to live.
