The 100th Day of School

On Thursday February 8, 2001 the first grade classes celebrated the 100th Day of School. Each student created a project made out of 100 objects. The students were very creative. Some of the items they used were cotton balls, Legos, coins, chocolate chips, Cheerios, marshmallows, and paper clips. The classes had a parade to share their projects with all of the other students in the school. It was a great day!!

Congratulations!!

Three students in our class were awarded prizes in the West Islip Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Poster Contest. First place was awarded to Matthew I., second place was awarded to Michael A., and third place was awarded to Teresa O. The students attended an awards ceremony earlier this month to accept their prizes. Congratulations on this wonderful honor!
