Math Wiz Kids

Our class is learning about area. We have measured many items in our classroom and school. We even measured our own area! We worked with partners and traced each other. Then we used square units to find our area. We were so surprised to see that some of us had the same area. Come to our classroom and see our bodies and area!

We are also learning about volume. We measured the amount of volume containers could hold. We worked in pairs to predict which container had more volume. Many of us predicted the taller the container the more it could hold. We found out that is not always true. We sure had fun and we only had a few spills!
This team is certainly concentrating on their task!
