The Gifted and Talented Program

Gifted and Talented children are those identified by professionally qualified persons, who by virtue of outstanding abilities, are capable of high performance. These are children who require differentiated programs and/or services beyond those normally provided by the regular school program in order to realize their contribution to self and society.

The Gifted and Talented Program is a full day program that students attend one day per week, Monday through Thursday. Students are bussed to the Gifted and Talented Center. The Gifted and Talented Program employs one teacher who works with the students in skills groups. There are level groups for Type II Activities and interest groups for Unit Activities.
