Captree Elementary Library Media center serves 380 students - Kindergarten through Grade 5. It is a brand new facility that opened early this fall. Ms. Boris, the librarian, holds weekly scheduled library classes. During these classes, story times are provided, library skills are taught, and books are checked out. Also, the library provides a flexible scheduling of classes and small groups that is planned cooperatively with the classroom teacher. There is a computer lab and computers in the library. There is Internet access in both places. At any given time there might be a class visit, small group instruction, work on the Internet, a guest reader or checking out of books.
