Attendance
The Main Office is responsible for the maintenance of records and investigation of student absences. Daily attendance is a vital part of your child's education. It is the moral and legal responsibility of every parent to see that their child is in attendance or to call the school if the child will be late or absent. In the event that your child is absent from school, please call the Main Office at 893 - 3390 as soon as possible. A written and signed note is required upon return to school. Excessive absences or lateness will be investigated. We appreciate your help in this matter.
Visitors to Captree
You are welcome in our school at any time. Please go directly to the main office and report your presence and the reason for being in the building. All visitors to the school are reminded that they must report to the Main Office (PTA functions are the only exception: at that time please use the Cafeteria entrance). Upon signing in, you will receive a visitor's pass. If you are picking up your child, you may be requested to produce a photo ID until we become familiar with each child and parent. This request is made to better assist you, to allow classes to progress normally, and to ensure that only authorized persons are in the school. Please bear with us.....we have only your child's safety in mind.
Important Notice
In the interest of building security and your child's safety, all classrooms will be locked at the end of the school day. This may make it difficult to retrieve books and materials that are forgotten at school. Remind students of the importance of packing up everything they need for homework assignments. This is an excellent opportunity for children to practice responsibility and independence!
